It’s a week after the time change and whew, did we spring forward. Time was not on my side. I felt like I was playing catch up until we had that first perfect weekend in Atlanta. 80 degree weather, the kids at the park, and our youngest, almost 2, finally keeping up with her big brother who is 4. They loved every single minute of it. My son looked up at me and said “Mom, I can get used to this.”
And just like that, I knew the spring shift had arrived. It was time to reset.
As a working mom spring isn’t just a season. It’s an invitation. An invitation to shake off the heaviness of winter, recommit to the things that matter and show up intentionally across every area of your life. That’s exactly what the Thrive Five framework helps me do, one pillar at a time.
Here’s how I’m spring cleaning my routine this season. 🌸
Pillar 01 — Restoration: Spring Cleaning Starts With YOU
With every reset I always come back to the basics. And this spring my skin had to be included.
I told myself, get back to consistency. No more skipping steps, no more excuses. My skincare staples are simple and they work:
- CeraVe Facial Wash (Renewing SA Cleanser) ← gentle, effective, non negotiable
- CeraVe Ultra- Light Moisturizer Gel ← lightweight and perfect for spring
- Paula’s Choice SPF 50 Facial Sunscreen ← every single morning, no exceptions
- Good Molecules Niacinamide Toner ← for brightness and texture
- Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant ← my secret weapon, back in rotation this spring
- Native Body Scrub ← Honorable Mention for the body, a new love and I am OBSESSED
The best part? This entire routine takes less than 10 minutes. No excuses.
Beyond skincare I am committing to 20 minutes of quiet time nightly after the kids go down. What does that look like? Honestly , whatever I need that day. A Substack read, a Pinterest scroll, seeking wisdom, or a good shopping session. Just me and my brain, every now and then my husband’s too. LOL. But mostly me and my thoughts with zero judgment and zero interruptions.
And this spring I am adding girlfriend time back into my calendar. As moms it is so easy to let fun slip away. But mamas need joy too, not just rest. Spring is the perfect season to start. ✨

Pillar 02 — Grace: Getting Out of Your Own Way
My faith is shifting in an amazing way this spring and I am here for every single bit of it.
This season looks like pushing through adversity and my own thoughts. Whether it is jumping on the computer to complete a task for my brand or having a seat at a table where I know I am qualified to belong, I am showing up for myself daily.
To every ambitious mom reading this, I want you to hear something:
Motherhood is not a placeholder. It’s a calling. God has called you to be a mother AND everything you ever wanted.
When you have hopes and dreams they don’t have to be delayed. Find ways to implement the very thing you want slowly in small pockets of time, that moves the needle too. The very first thing is believing that God will give you the things you’ve asked for. Maturing in Christ is maturing in faith.
Don’t feel ready? Take small steps. Those steps eventually add then multiply. As they say, it’s a marathon. And it can and will happen for you.

Pillar 03 — Movement: Your Body Wants to Move This Season
Good weather made it click for me. There is something about warm sunshine that makes every excuse disappear.
This spring my husband and I committed to going to the gym together twice a week and that built in accountability has been everything. On non-gym days I am doing 20 minute dumbbell or step routines at home before the day starts.
And then there is T-ball duty. LOL
My son just started T-ball and let me tell you, the jumping, yelling, cheering, walking back and forth on that sideline? That counts as movement. My toddler is just as active so keeping up with her is a full body workout in itself.
The truth is when you get your kids active it naturally gets YOU more active. Motherhood and wellness blending together, that’s the Thrive Five in real life.
Pillar 04 — Rhythm: Memorable Not Full
This spring our family rhythm looks different and I am intentional about it.
Events and festivals are starting to heat up so we are getting them on the calendar NOW. Spring Break is around the corner and we are headed to Orange Beach. Destin is our favorite but any beach will do honestly.
But here’s what I want to be clear about, our Rhythm pillar this spring is not about doing something every single day. It’s about choosing different diverse intentional events that our children will remember. A museum. A family trip. A local festival. Whatever it is, it counts.
Our house would be a constant zoo if we stayed in every weekend. LOL. So getting out and making memories just works for us. Not doing something daily but doing something intentional, that’s our spring rhythm.
Every memory counts. Near or far. Big or small. 🤎

Pillar 05 — Nourishment: Learning Every Single Day
This spring I am in full growth mode and it feels incredible.
I have been exploring AI tools that are genuinely changing how I work, Claude for strategy and content, Perplexity for research and Envato for design resources. What exploring these tools has taught me is that life is limitless. And time? We can’t get it back. So why not use every tool available to make your life easier and your dreams more achievable?
But the most exciting thing I am nourishing this spring? Building the Thrive Five.
Pouring my thoughts into the design and framework for the Thrive Five Workbook and Journal has given me a different kind of inspiration. Being an ambitious mom can have you feeling overwhelmed, but actively building something you are proud of? That makes you feel fulfilled.
Building Thrive Five gives me an inspiration that can take any mom from surviving to thriving. And that is exactly the point.
A Permission Slip for This Season
Spring doesn’t require a complete overhaul of your life. It just requires intention, one pillar at a time.
You don’t have to do everything. You don’t have to be everywhere. You just have to show up intentionally for yourself, your faith, your body, your home and your growth.
That is enough. That has always been enough. 🤎

I love your thoughts on spring cleaning your routine! Spring is the perfect time for a reset, and I’m here for it. The idea of not having to be “busy” every day, yet doing something intentionally, really appeals to me. The thought of an overbooked calendar does not sit well with my brain lol. So glad you also included a consistent skincare routine in your reset. This is so often a step busy moms put on the back burner. Great post!
What a great system! We are running ourselves into the ground and not spending time on the important moments. This framework makes it easy to make sure each day has purpose and takes care of ourselves too! Love it! Thank you for sharing!
Getting your body moving is so important in the season. I love that you added it to your Spring reset. Great reminder!
This is great and a wonderful reminder for busy mums to make time for themselves. I know I forget to do this a lot, but I love the me-time routine, so you can just focus on yourself for a while.
I love this list, especially the skincare reset. I literally just ordered a couple of the same products from your list for myself.
Awesome choices!
